This is my little corner of the internet where I get to be a photographer. My "real" job is as a graphic designer, but I've loved photography ever since taking Photography 101 and watching images appear as if by magic in the dark room. I decided not to pursue it as a career, but to keep it for myself as an artistic endeavor. Nonetheless, if you like what you see, I'd be happy to point my camera and eye in the direction of your choosing. Which is to say you are welcome to hire me!
A little bit more about me. I'm a Northern California native who moved to Brooklyn to go to art school to study graphic design. I graduated, got a job as a web designer and after 6 years moved back to Oakland and became a design freelancer. About a year into my return I met my future husband and we started taking photos together. My love for photography reemerged and I realized I needed to make it a part of my life. Dylan and I photographed weddings together for almost 3 years until it became clear that it would be better for both of us to have more creative freedom by working separately. I also realized that weddings are a TON of work and really hard. I started to feel more frustrated by photography than in love with it. That's when I realized I should return to what I had always enjoyed, still life and landscapes and exploring new and unknown places with my eye and my camera. I hope you enjoy!
